Courage within uncertainty can weave us into a meaningful web of inspiration, synchronicity, and intuitive art.
With clear intuition, comes a package of courage….This package of strength

that you get is like a little battery—it’s plugged into your gut and it begins to throb
constantly until you start to do something about it. And when you start following it,
then you begin to experience the phenomenon of synchronicity.
Reveling in Synchronicity
On a bright, unseasonably warm Thursday in London several weeks ago, I walked through the leafy and literary Bloomsbury area in search of the Charles Dickens Museum. I was excited by the prospect of communing with the ghost of a creative giant and getting a small glimpse into how he lived and worked.
Thinking back on the morning, I recognize the key ingredients for my receiving an intuitive hit—the inspiration for intuitive art—were in place: I was walking (moving my body always tends to jumpstart my imagination), lost in anticipatory joy and thought, and excited about having a moment of inspirational connection.
I found the museum, a former residence of Dickens, and made my way up the stairs to his well-appointed study. I stood in front of his desk, imagining him working away on a manuscript. I looked out the window, wondering what might have gone through his mind as he stared at the same view.
The docent let me sit in one of the chairs, and the moment I sank into it, I began to get flashes of insights. Short snippets of ideas. Rapid-fire downloads.
Some of the things that came to me made no sense whatsoever, like discombobulated imagery in a dream sequence. Others were clear, cogent, and arresting. Urgent. Delivered with telltale, zingy energy and excitement, as if to ensure I paid attention.
I quickly scribbled down a page of notes, remaining as still as possible in the chair before whatever had a hold of me was frightened off. I reviewed my notes and knew I had hooked something big. I stood and turned back to stare at the chair. A part of me wondered if it held some Dickens magic.
Allowing Forces to Collide
I wandered all around Bloomsbury for a couple of hours, letting the intuitive hits marinate and collide with one another. By the time I made my way onto the lift in the Russell Square Tube station, I knew there was a rather famous person (whose identity I’ll keep under wraps for now) who I needed to contact to make my idea a reality.
The challenge? I had absolutely no idea how to reach this person.
I know that getting hung up on The How is a deadly poison to one’s inspired creativity. So, I released my fascination with the “cursed hows” and chose instead to float around in dreaming and fantasy.
A few days later, out of the blue, I received an invitation to a webinar. It was an opportunity for authors who have certain projects in mind to meet a consultant who could answer questions and serve as a trusted advisor for the kind of project I wanted to do. I registered immediately.
A few weeks later, I met privately with this gentleman. In very short order, he confirmed my idea was very sound and then proceeded to give me the contact information for the very person I wanted to reach!
How could this happen?
Review the Caroline Myss quote above and note the connections among intuition, courage, and synchronicity. This is exactly what I experienced.
However, a key ingredient is missing in Myss’ formula: Uncertainty.
The Role of Uncertainty in Opening the Door to Synchronicity and Inspiration
Uncertainty is the crucible of creativity. And it is our tolerance of uncertainty that unlocks the gates of our intuition, imagination, and ideation. It is what kickstarts the formation and release of Myss’ “package of courage” and our subsequent delicious dance with synchronicity,
How, then, do we access this tolerance of uncertainty? How do we move beyond self-doubt and out of the clutches of Perfectionism and Procrastination and prime our intuitive pumps, paving the way for intuitive art? And how can we make all of this reliable and repeatable?
By committing to rediscovering and exploring our innate creativity.
Granted, as busy entrepreneurs, this is a challenge! This is why I have created The Buoyant Art Studio so that we all can enjoy more magic, synchronicity, and flow in our lives.

I am so excited to play in The Buoyant Art Studio together!
Fear is the painful, stuck state of the energetic state of creativity. We cross the threshold into our most intuitive, courageous, and synchronous selves when we play. When we let go. When we value and tend to our creativity as a regular practice and allow our intuition to surface.
Hope to see you in The Buoyant Art Studio!
