Our Commitment to DEI
ICI is committed to maintaining and strengthening our diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to increase employment avenues and ensure a culture of belonging for people who have been dismissed, discriminated against, and/or pushed to the margins. We are taking intentional measures to work with and serve a diverse community, as well as to make every person in our community feel safe, included, and seen.
Not only is the freedom to be and express oneself every person’s right—one that we as a business have the responsibility to uphold in our workplace and professional community—but we believe that the more voices that contribute to our business, the greater our impact will be:
It is through our differences that we will best help the world connect with their authentic selves and innate creativity. To succeed in our mission to help all entrepreneurs, creators, and visionary leaders develop the mindset and skills that will help them fulfill their highest potential, we must continue to play our part in building a more inclusive and equitable world.
With these intentions in mind, ICI is taking the following actions:
When hiring, we will make a strong effort to recruit women, BIPOC, LBGTQIA2S+ individuals, and people with disabilities to join our virtual team.
To inform equitable recruitment practices, we will hire a DEI consultant prior to expanding our team.
We will invest in businesses owned by members of underrepresented communities.
We will purchase a minimum of 30% of our organization’s products and services from businesses owned by women, BIPOC, LBGTQIA2S+ individuals, and/or people with disabilities.
As we continue to learn and grow as individuals and as a business, we will continue to seek new and better ways to cultivate and expand diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community and beyond.
