Hey, Everyone! This is Susie deVille, Founder & CEO of the Innovation & Creativity Institute. In today’s episode of the Aesthete Aperture, I am taking you along on the adventure I had in Europe this summer. I decided last December to have a series of European experiences that would at once burst open my heart; immerse me in beauty, art, and music; and connect me with a new community of like-minded souls who seek to lead and live with courage and joy.
My summer adventure more than delivered on each of those fronts. I have been completely shattered—exploded–into a million tiny pieces by the sumptuous Creative Rebel’s Voyage of summer of 2018. I imagine it will take months for me to fully unpack each one of these transformational moments; for now, I can say that when you consciously choose to put yourself in front of beauty, the world opens up to you at the same time it opens you.
Let me take you now to Galway Bay, to a fireside concert in a cottage with Martin Hayes, to a Venice Canal, to cascading chocolate in Venice, to the Venice train station, to Malcesine, to a Paris street scene shot from my hotel balcony, to the U2 concert in Paris, and to the Gustav Klimt at the Atelier des Lumières.
