I keep staring at each of these, and each time I look, I find yet another new discovery — another item of interest in the painting that I missed before. Or, one of the paintings will evoke a memory, and I will quickly be transported to another place and time. l am continuing to learn how to notice — how to truly see — objects, shadows, colors, lines, and curves all around me. If I’m not careful, I can tune out the beauty that often surrounds me.
