One of the most profound bits of advice I ever received was to stop hiding my light under a barrel, and to “amp that shit up instead!!!!”
My business mentor was right — I had been hiding. I didn’t want to seem to be “too much,” “too energetic,” “too happy,” “too full of ideas,” “too desirous of changing the world,” and/or “too passionate.” I thought the path should be one aimed at acceptance, rather than individual fulfillment, joy, and making a giant dent in the Universe. WRONG! This holiday season and from here on out, tend to your light with loving care. Proudly shine as brightly as you can. Step forward. Dial your brightness waaaay up!!!
